Knight has been a member in good-standing of the Project Management Institute since 2000.  He earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2003.


He earned an Advanced Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.


He has been a Certified Independent Consultant with Birkman International since 2003.

Who We Are

 

​Marty Knight is the President of Knight Business Solutions, LLC and founded the company in 2013.  He began his career in project management in 1995 following fifteen years of service in IT operations management.  He managed his first large-scale program in 1999.  His broad range of experience includes the following:


  • The formation and deployment of a highly-successful IT Project Management Office for a global data marketing company.  This PMO was the first for the organization and served as a model for further company PMO deployments.
  • Management of numerous enterprise-level projects and programs.
  • Leadership capabilities with an emphasis on coaching and development of staff to high levels of empowerment and self-direction.
  • Outstanding facilitation capabilities to groups of all sizes, including senior management.
  • Extensive experience as a public motivational speaker.
  • International project management experience.
  • Management of recovery planning efforts following a large-scale disaster.
  • Leadership of a religious organization providing teaching and charitable relief to Romania from 2004 through 2010.
  • Experience in a wide range of industries, including data management, utilities, banking and non-profits.
